Playtomic acquires PrenotaUnCampo to consolidate the leadership in the racket sports market in Europe

Madrid, July 23rd. Playtomic, Europe’s largest racket sports App for players and clubs, today announced the acquisition of PrenotaUnCampo, the Italy-based leading company in sports reservations in this country.

This operation further strengthens the position of Playtomic in this growing market in Europe, with uncontested leadership in Padel.

PrenotaUnCampo, founded in 2014 by Nicola Biffi, Alessandro Tortorici, Marco Rossi and Gianpaolo Di Nino, is the first online booking platform of sports venues in Italy with more than 1.000 bookable sports clubs and more than 360.000 users.

An unstoppable international growth for Playtomic

By integrating with PrenotaUnCampo, Playtomic reinforces their internationalization strategy, after expanding to fast-growing markets such as Sweden, Finland, Benelux, Mexico last year.

With this operation, led by the team of Álvaro Mateo - partner of the Gómez-Acebo & Pombo law firm, the Spanish startup consolidates its leadership in Europe, having completed other important milestones such as the acquisition of the Playven and the appointment of Felix Ruiz as executive chairman and Pablo Carro as Co-CEO.

Both companies have taken advantage of the accelerated digitalization process of the industry after Covid-19, achieving the best performance in the history of the platforms in June

Therefore, after joining forces, the new company will serve more than 2,000 racket sport clubs and that are now connected in the App, following the tremendous international growth of Padel.
